Gybing safely and effectively is an another important single-handed skill. Again with this maneuver accurate positioning of hands and feet, it’s important to enable you gybe quickly and safely.

Start by bearing away smoothly onto a run and then begin to sheet in 2 or 3 arms of main-sheet doing so quickly using both hands. Give the main-sheet a sharp tuck while rolling the boat to windward to make the boom across the boat. 

先进行顺风偏转，然后使船平缓驶入顺风，将主帆缭绳收紧一段长度（两到三臂长），通过双手配合加速收绳速度。快速收主帆缭绳的同时，（利用自身体重）使船驶向迎风侧，使横杆跨到另一边。

As the boat gybe ,duck under the boom and centralize the tiller. As the sail fell, move to the new windward side, leading with your back foot.

 船只转向时，低头穿过横杆并回正舵。当主帆划过后，通过靠近船尾的那只脚的发力，移动到另一舷，平稳地坐到船缘。

Finally ,swap hands and get the boat back on course going quickly in the right direction.

最后，换手，并使船快速驶向正确的方向。
