Performance Yacht Racing is a new partnership between Global Yacht Racing Ltd and Performance Race Yachts Ltd
Andy Middleton of Global Yacht Racing is an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor Trainer and Examiner who has a passion for racing and training. He set up UK based business Global Yacht Racing in 2004 with partner Claire Kennard.
He is exceptionally good at training novices and amateurs to race together and creates effective teams from crew who may never have raced before. He believes that yacht racing should be safe, fun and non elitist and Global Yacht Racing was set up to offer worldwide yacht racing to all.
Since 2004 Global Yacht Racing has become the leading provider of race events for individuals around the world and has entered teams in the Rolex Sydney Hobart since 2004 as well as the Rolex Middle Seas Race, Rolex Fastnet race, ARC Transatlantic and all major Caribbean Regattas with numerous podium results.
Christian Reynolds is a Commercially Endorsed RYA Yachtmaster Ocean with over 150,000nm yachting experience and is a world class dinghy and yacht racer.
Christian competed at the Musto Skiff Worlds and has won several National Championships including twice in the RS600 class. In 2008 he purchased Swan 51 Northern Child Yacht Charter for a total change of lifestyle, leaving the Corporate World behind. He has had notable success with the Swan, regularly finishing on the podium at top International Regattas with individual crews.
Christian sold the Swan and First 40 in 2015 to focus on growing Performance Yacht Racing with Andy.
Christian and Andy set up Performance Yacht Racing in 2013 to offer Race Skipper Traineeships and due to the success of this and their growing international charter market they decided to merge Global Yacht Racing and Performance Yacht Racing into one awesome global brand including Performance Yacht Racing USA based in New York and Performance Yacht Racing.NL based in the Netherlands.
