The Swiss team’s skipper, Ernesto Bertarelli will return to the circuit after a year away to concentrate on the foiling GC32. He is no stranger to racing at the highest level in sailing having competed in the 31st, 32nd & 33rd America’s Cup’s – winning two.

Arnaud is a regular on the circuit having sailed in 2013 and 2014 with the Swiss Realteam. Having taken a break from the Series in 2015 to race in the GC32 Great Cup, Arnaud will return in 2016 with a wealth of experience on the foiling catamarans chosen for the season ahead.

Nicholas is new to the Extreme Sailing Series in 2016 and has raced with Alinghi since 2012 where he competed in the D35 Vulcain Trophy where the team took second position. The following year Alinghi secured the D35 win, and successfully defended their title in 2014. Nicholas represented his country at the 2012 Beijing Olympic Games, in the 470 class where he brought home a bronze medal.

Nils first sailed for Alinghi in the 1996 Bol d’Or, before rejoining in 2003 for the America’s Cup. He has raced with the team ever since across a variety of projects including the Extreme Sailing Series, GC32 Great Cup and the America’s Cup.

A member of Alinghi for 13 years, Yves joined the team for the 2003 America’s Cup campaign, however he has sailed with skipper Ernesto for a lot longer. He and Ernesto won the Bol d’Or in 2000 and 2001 before again sailing together in each of the teams three America’s Cup campaigns. Yves was an integral part of the 2014 Extreme Sailing Series winning crew.
