Returning to the line up for its second full Series following its 2015 debut, Team Turx is led by co-skipper and team founder and Edhem Dirvana and British Olympian Stevie Morrison. Morrison joins Team Turx as co-skipper and helm, having last year sailed with Oman Air. The team returns to home turf for this year’s sixth Act in Istanbul, Turkey.

Stevie is a two-time Olympian in the 49er class having represented Great Britain at London 2012 and Beijing 2008. With two World Championship, three European Championship and 12 National Championship titles to his name, Stevie brings a whole load of sailing knowledge to his second Extreme Sailing Series season.

Skipper and founder of the team, Edhem is a national Dinghy champion and first competed in the Extreme Sailing Series on his home waters of Turkey with Team Turx in 2014 as the home nation team to the Istanbul Act. In 2015 he co-skippered the team to sixth position in their first full season

Cem is a National and Balkan laser sailing champion. He’s been a core and loyal member of the Team Turx sailing crew having attended all of the team’s training session in their Extreme Sailing Series campaign.

Tom was a member of the Team GBR 49er Olympic squad for five years and secured numerous top international results in various skiff classes. He is a Class 40 World Champion, holds two World speed records and is also a highly ranked international Match Racer.
