British yachtsman Rich Gould, 29, has returned to the Clipper Race to lead the IchorCoal team. Well experienced in the dynamics of the race, Rich has trained our crew since the 2009-10 race and was a Skipper in the 2013-14 edition.

A former watersports instructor, Rich previously led the South African-sponsored Invest Africa team to three podium finishes. His team also included the first generation of Sapinda Rainbow ambassadors so he is also very familiar with that programme, which continues in this edition on IchorCoal.

Since completing the last race Rich has been sailing in the Maldives on Super Yachts.
