2015-2016克利伯环球帆船赛第五站之悉尼站

The Clipper Race fleet returns to Sydney Harbour for the second time after first visiting during the 2013-14 edition of the race.

The crews will sail past design gem Sydney Opera House and under the iconic Harbour Bridge, following in the footsteps of the First Fleet who landed in Botany Bay 225 years ago.

Governor Phillip described the natural harbour as “one of the finest in the world” on arrival and since then, it has become one of the most photographed locations globally thanks to its sunny climate, glittering beaches and glamorous locals.

Australia’s first city’s rich maritime history and melting pot of cultures complement its vibrancy and welcoming Australian hospitality.

Sydney is best explored by foot or on one of its many ferries which can whisk you to secluded bays and national parks with stunning views of the harbour in minutes. You can also hire kayaks from Rose Bay and take your own picnic for a harbour adventure exploring its picturesque coves and native bushland.

Special cruises will teach you more about its colonial history, the first settlers and give a glimpse of some impressive prime waterfront homes.

Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, or as Sydneysiders say the “coathanger”, will give unrivalled views for those not yet sick of climbing up the mast.

Stroll around buzzing Circular Quay and enjoy live music and cocktails at the Opera Bar or take the famous Manly ferry to explore the rugged Northern Beaches.

Sydney is the perfect destination for sport lovers and adrenaline junkies with its brilliant natural surroundings.

Catching some Pacific waves with Bondi’s surfers or enjoying Bronte’s café culture after walking the scenic Bondi to Bronte coastal cliff path in the eastern suburbs is a must.
